The City of Wood Dale understands the importance of a well maintained urban canopy. Trees help to conserve energy, remove carbon emissions, protect rivers and streams, provide a habitat for wildlife, and increase property value.
Trees located within the City right-of-way are owned and maintained by the City of Wood Dale. The right-of-way is an imaginary line extending from the center line of the road (typically 33' in both directions) where the City has the right to install and maintain infrastructure.
Systematic trimming and pruning shall be carried out in accordance with the pruning standards of the National Arborists Association. Contact the Department of Public Works if a parkway tree is overhanging and is in need of trimming.
