Section 16.501 of the Wood Dale Municipal Code provides the City with the authority to require fiber optic cable utilities to enter into a License Agreement for the privilege of locating their Cable and related equipment within the City’s ROW. Such License Agreements support the orderly development of essential fiber infrastructure while protecting public interests, such as public safety and the protection of City infrastructure and improvements from damage.

All franchisees are required to register through the City of Wood Dale’s self-service portal each year at my.wooddale.com.
Fees will be invoiced via the my.wooddale.com portal:
- Fiber applicants will receive an invoice for fees due 30 days after fiber installation.
- Additionally, annual license fees will be due on January 1 each year, via the my.wooddale.com portal.
Applications must include:
- Utility name, utility street address, utility email address and utility contact number.
- Two 24-hour emergency contacts.
- Certificate of Insurance.
