In 2025, Midwest Fiber Networks (MWFN) will be conducting underground fiber construction in the City of Wood Dale as part of a larger infrastructure project supporting business and institutional connectivity throughout the region.
Construction is expected to take place over approximately 100 days, with the start date pending final approvals from outside permitting agencies. The work area is highlighted on the map below, and activities will occur in phases throughout designated zones.
What to Expect
- Traffic Impact: Some areas may experience temporary lane closures or traffic pattern adjustments. Signage will be placed accordingly to ensure driver and worker safety.
- No Residential Disruption: All work will take place within utility easements or public right-of-way. No direct property access is needed, and residents do not need to be present or take any action.
- Restoration Commitment: Any areas disturbed during construction will be restored as work is completed.

Construction within the City of Wood Dale is limited to the following hours:
Monday-Saturday, 7:00AM-7:00PM
No construction permitted on Sundays or Holidays
