Cooking Oil Recycling Program
Did you know the City offers a free cooking oil drop-off site at the Public Works Department, where your used oil is recycled into environmentally friendly biodiesel?
This is an excellent City service, especially knowing that improperly disposing of cooking oils can damage residential plumbing systems and cause blockages within the city's sewer mains. This can lead to backups in residents' homes. Located at the south entrance of the Public Works facility, at 720 N Central Avenue, at the intersection of Central Avenue and Beinoris Drive. Drop off leftover grease in the blue drum or leave closed containers. The program is offered year-round. Save the drains, and recycle cooking oil instead!
