The Environmental and Sustainability Committee hosts the Salt Creek River Sweep event with the Conservation Foundation on April 25, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The annual DuPage River Sweep is a county-wide self-coordinated stream cleanup held each spring. The one-day event encourages volunteer groups to help “sweep our rivers clean” by picking up debris in and along the local waterways.
Volunteers will remove litter from Salt Creek River. Supplies, such as safety vests, garbage bags, gloves, and hand pickers will be provided.
Street parking is available at 272 Charmille Lane, Wood Dale, IL 60191, United States.
To volunteer, please contact the Public Works Department at 630-350-3530.
