Wood Dale Offers Financial Assistance for Residents, Businesses
With both residents and businesses facing enormous financial strain due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Wood Dale has developed a plan to offer economic assistance during this crisis.
In an effort to assist businesses that have been temporarily closed and/or are facing a reduction in revenue due to the pandemic, the City will waive all Commercial Occupancy Certificate and Liquor License fees for Wood Dale businesses this year. The action will provide a savings of nearly $200,000 to the community. Applications are still required for licenses and occupancy certification.
Wood Dale is also providing 2020/2021 vehicle stickers at no cost in an effort to reduce the financial burden faced by residents. Registration is still required for all vehicles.
In addition, the City’s Dial-A-Ride service will be offered to patrons free until February 2021. This will provide much-needed access to essential services, without added cost.
The City continues to work developing additional assistance for its residents and businesses, and is currently in the planning process for even more support. City staff and officials remain fully committed to meeting the needs of the Wood Dale community during and after the crisis and are grateful to see the community come together to support one another during this time.
