UPDATE - City Services Affected by COVID-19 - Notice of Access Limitations to City Buildings
Update - 3/31/20
Governor Pritzker has extended the Shelter in Place Order until April 30. We encourage you to please follow local, state and federal guidelines moving forward. The City has compiled much of this information on our website. Included is information regarding how City services are affected, and a number of frequently asked questions about the stay at home order. Residents are reminded that they should also keep up to date with the most current information online through DuPage County and the State of Illinois. The City anticipates providing additional updates via phone only if there are emergency situations that must be immediately communicated to the public. We encourage you to follow the City’s social media in addition to news sources for the most up-to-date information. Please continue to be safe and contact us if you need any assistance.
City staff and officials remain fully committed to meeting the needs of the Wood Dale community during and after this crisis. We thank you for coming together as a community, supporting local essential businesses and patronizing Wood Dale restaurants that are offering delivery and takeout options during this time.
All Wood Dale Municipal Buildings will be temporarily closed to public entrance effective March 17, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.
The health and safety of all Wood Dale residents and employees is the City’s highest priority. In light of the directives offered by the State of Illinois and DuPage County offices, and in order to reduce the risk of community spread of the novel virus COVID-19, all City public offices WILL be closed to the public until further notice effective March 17, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. This DOES NOT mean that City Hall offices and personnel will not be working. We will be operating in a manner most appropriate to protect the health and welfare of all our employees and residents.

While entrance to public buildings will be limited to employee personnel only, essential City services will continue. Staff will maintain normal office hours, however, City operations and procedures may change during this rapidly evolving situation. General assistance will be available online and via phone. If applicable, in person appointments will be available for residents at City Hall. For bill payments, we encourage residents to pay online or drop off payments via the drop box in the City Hall parking lot.
