Storm damage from last evening has caused widespread power outages throughout the Chicago-land region, effecting sections of Wood Dale. As of this point, some power has been restored, but many homes may still be without power.
We want to remind residents that City hall is a designated cooling center and can be used by any resident who needs to get out of the heat.
In addition, the City will be conducting a special street sweeping next week to clean up the storm debris. A special brush pickup for tree limbs and branches will be conducted later in the week. More details will be forthcoming regarding the exact brush collection day.
