Transporter License - This application must be completed, fees must be paid and the Transporter License issued prior to conducting the activities of a transporter. 


A Transporter License is issued annually in conjunction with the Commercial Occupancy Certificate (COC). The Transporter License requirements are outlined in City Code Section 4.310 (Transporters).  In order to obtain the license, the following must be submitted with the Transporter License Application:

  1. Transporter License Affidavit
  2. List of relevant contact persons/vehicle information, as applicable to your business activities
  3. Site-Plan (if vehicles are stored and/or parked on-site)

Answer all questions completely as incomplete responses may delay approval process. After submitting the application, staff will review the information and will let you know the next steps.

If your transporter business occupies a non-residential space in Wood Dale and has not already obtained a current COC, please complete the New Business Application or Commercial Occupancy Renewal application.  

To Get Started:

Applications may be submitted online or in-person at the Community Development Department Office.  In-person application intake hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Business assistance is available at City Hall, 404 N. Please use the Transporter License Contact Information Template to identify the owner of vehicles to be used to provide transporter activities, provide the applicable DOT number(s), and all relevant contact information for any contractors used in connection with the transporter activities. Information should be provided as applicable to your business activities.

Site-Plan
