Transporter License - This application must be completed, fees must be paid and the Transporter License issued prior to conducting the activities of a transporter.
A Transporter License is required by any person primarily engaging in the business of transporting goods, wares or merchandise. This term includes, but is not limited to, any person whose business is trucking goods; a truck driver who delivers containers to and from the airport, seaport or rail yard; any person that transports goods on regular routes at set rates; or any person engaged in the business of transporting parcels or other movable property.
If your transporter business occupies a non-residential space in Wood Dale, complete the New Business Application or Commercial Occupancy Renewal application. This application only applies to transporter businesses that do not occupy physical space in Wood Dale but transport from a Wood Dale location.
