Wood Dale Featured as One of Chicago’s Hottest Suburban Housing Markets
Wood Dale’s real estate market continues to heat up, according to a recent feature in Crain’s Chicago Business that listed the City as one of Chicagoland’s 31 hottest suburban housing markets.
Crain’s examined data on 196 towns throughout Cook, DuPage, Lake and Will counties, and chose only 31 that displayed levels of market improvement and had 25 or more home sales and strong vital signs within the first half of 2018.
Three market indicators were examined to determine improvement over the first six months of the year: more homes are selling, they’re selling at higher median prices, and they’re selling faster according to data recently posted by the Chicago Association of Realtors.
According to the article, Wood Dale is among suburban towns where buyers have confidence that they’re buying in a good place and getting more for their money.
In addition to strong housing value, Wood Dale offers its residents a high quality of life with an award-winning K-8 school district with small class sizes and an emphasis on creative learning, local access to recreational opportunities, a localized library system, low crime rates and a police department dedicated to fostering relationships within the community.
