Winter Storm Response
The City is recovering from the effects of last night and this morning’s early-season snowstorm. Public Works crews were out all morning clearing City streets and sidewalks. Downed mailboxes will be addressed on Tuesday. If you have a down mailbox and have yet to report it, please call the Streets Division of Public Works at (630) 350-3530.
The City received multiple reports of downed utility wires due to the accumulation of heavy snow. Power outages were experienced throughout Wood Dale. If you are still experiencing power loss, you can report or check the status of your outage with a smartphone by visiting ComEd.com.
Flood Brothers cancelled all regular refuse and yard waste pickup for Monday. Monday’s regular pickup will be rescheduled for Tuesday. Regular Tuesday pickup will be delayed until Wednesday. Yard waste should be placed out as normal. Please remember, this is the final yard waste pickup of the season.
Brush collection is also still scheduled to take place this week. Materials must be placed curbside by 7 a.m. Tuesday morning and will be picked up between Tuesday-Friday.
As a reminder, City Hall is open 24 hours a day as a warming center. Please be sure to check on your neighbors and relatives and contact the police at (630) 766-2060 if you need assistance.
