Wood Dale Police Officers Recognized for DUI Enforcement
Every year, hundreds of innocent victims are killed and thousands are severely injured as a result of alcohol/drug-related crashes in Illinois. During 2017, Wood Dale arrested a total of 99 violators for DUI. At the October 4 City Council meeting, a representative of Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM) and Police Chief Greg Vesta recognized three of Wood Dale’s officers for their strong DUI enforcement. Recognized were Officer Dan Drost, Officer Patrick Fajardo and Officer Adrian Rygula.
“Between the three officers, they arrested 36 drunk drivers in the past year,” said Vesta. “All our officers on the streets do a fantastic job at keeping our streets safe and addressing drunk driving.”
Congratulations to these officers for their continued efforts to keep Wood Dale streets and residents safe.
